Privacy policy
This page explains what information this website uses, why it is used, and the choices you have.
Who runs this site
অসম Exam Guide is an independent exam-information website. It is not run by or connected to a government department, exam board, or recruitment agency.
Site operator: Niraj Acharjya
Privacy contact: lex32547@gmail.com
What this website does now
The current version has no user accounts, payment service, newsletter signup, or comment section. The Contact page has a message form that prepares an email in your device's email app; the website does not send or store the message. It does not currently use advertising or analytics tools.
Information used when you visit
The website code does not ask you for your name, phone number, address, or exam application details. This site is currently running on a local development server and is not publicly hosted. Once it is deployed, the hosting provider may automatically process technical details such as your IP address, pages requested, date and time, browser and device information, and security records to deliver and protect the site. We have not chosen a public hosting provider yet, so its name, storage location, and log-retention period are not known. We will update this policy before deployment.
Search and theme settings
- Exam search: As you type, the search checks the small exam list in your browser. It does not send each keystroke to a search company. If you submit the search form, your search text may appear in the page address and in the hosting provider’s request logs. Please do not enter private information in the search box.
- Colour theme: If you choose light or dark mode, the site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage under
axom-theme. This is stored on your device, not as a cookie. You can remove it by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate page views, visits, and site performance. Cloudflare says this service does not use cookies or collect visitors’ personal data. We also use Google Analytics 4 for more detailed usage reports, such as page views, scrolls, and outbound link clicks. Google Analytics is blocked unless you choose “Allow Google Analytics” in the notice. If allowed, it may use cookies such as _ga and send usage and device information to Google. Choosing “Reject Google Analytics” stops the Google tag; Cloudflare’s aggregate analytics remains active. We do not currently use advertising networks or advertising pixels.
If you contact us
The Contact page form runs in your browser and opens your default email app with your message, email address, and optional name filled in. The site itself does not transmit or store that form entry. Nothing is emailed unless you choose to press Send in your email app. If you send it, we receive the address and message you provide and use them to answer, review a correction or privacy request, and keep the site accurate. You can also write directly to lex32547@gmail.com. Please do not send passwords, application login details, identity documents, or other sensitive information.
We will keep messages only as long as needed to answer and manage the request, unless we need to retain them for a legal or security reason. Gmail may process and store messages under Google's privacy terms. See Google's Privacy Policy.
When information may be shared
We do not sell personal information. After deployment, technical information may be handled by the hosting provider to run and protect the site. Google may handle messages sent to our Gmail contact address. We may also disclose information if a valid legal request requires it or if it is necessary to protect the site, its visitors, or our legal rights.
Links to other websites
Exam pages link to outside websites, including government and recruitment-board websites and, where clearly labelled, file or document services. When you open an outside link, that organisation’s privacy policy and practices apply. We do not control how another site collects or uses information.
Children
This site provides general exam information and does not ask visitors to create accounts or submit personal details. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to us may contact lex32547@gmail.com and ask us to review and remove it where appropriate.
Your choices and privacy requests
- Clear this site’s local storage in your browser to remove your saved colour-theme choice.
- Use your browser’s settings to manage cookies, site data, and browsing history.
- Contact us to ask what information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. We will respond and act as required by applicable law.
Security and storage outside India
We use a static website and do not store visitor accounts or exam applications. We will take reasonable steps to protect information we handle, but no website or email service can promise perfect security. Public hosting has not yet been chosen, so its security measures and data-storage locations are not known. We will add the host's details before deployment.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the website or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will show when the current version was published. If we add a feature that changes how information is handled, we will update this page to explain it.
Official privacy-law information
For the law itself, see the Government of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. Their provisions have staged commencement dates. This policy will be reviewed as the applicable provisions come into force.
