HSLC 2027: check your school and the official board notice
HSLC means the High School Leaving Certificate examination, usually taken after Class 10. It is conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-I, formerly SEBA.
The official academic calendar places the 2027 HSLC exam in February 2027. The day-by-day routine and exact paper dates are not yet confirmed on the official notice list. Ask your school and check the board notice page for the final routine.
What to study
Your school subjects and the current syllabus are the best guide. ASSEB Division-I posts syllabus documents and updates on its official site. Download the syllabus for your exam year and check for corrections before planning your revision.
- Read each subject’s topics and marks carefully.
- Practise writing answers and solving full papers within the time limit.
- Use your school’s instructions for practical or internal assessment, if these apply to your subjects.
Routine and exam-day instructions
The official routine will show the date, time, and duration for each paper. Check it with your school, because practical exam dates and arrangements may be shared separately.
- Download the routine from the official board notice page.
- Check your subject names and paper codes against your admit card.
- Follow the reporting time and items allowed in the exam room.
- Ask your school if a notice or instruction is unclear.
Previous question papers
Choose a year to find papers for the main subjects. ASSEB Division-I officially lists English, General Mathematics, and Social Science papers for 2024 and 2025. General Science papers and the 2023 links go to an independent archive; check the subject and year before downloading.

The board’s official archive currently lists only three subjects and does not list 2023 papers. The other links go to an independent archive, not an official board page. Use past papers for practice; they do not predict this year’s questions.
